Save time and become more effective with the time you do have
We all want to get better, faster. We all want to spend more time doing something else.
I’m reading ‘The Ultimate Sales Machine’ by Chet Holmes as part of a new mastermind that we’ve joined. He has this great concept under ‘mastering time management’: Touch it once.
This elegant statement can seem innocuous, but its simplicity can mask its true power.
Touch it once can be applied across your entire day.
- don’t leave your plate on the kitchen bench when you’re finished, put it straight in the dishwasher
- don’t move the unopened letter from your keyboard to a growing ‘unopened letter stack’, open it, deal with it
- don’t put off that blog you’ve been meaning to write, jot down the notes for it now (before you lose it)

This category will document those little hacks that pull together the rest of my life, and make it more manageable, more streamlined and more effective.
